Officer, 619-532-1301 DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work includes the
modification of the auditorium heating, ventilating and air
conditioning (HVAC) system including the demolition of existing
equipment, ductwork, piping and electrical items. Revised work includes
HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, supports, controls and electrical and
related work. The contractor shall also be responsible for obtaining
all required permits, payment for those permits, and approvals and
other incidental related work. LOCATION The work is located at Bilding
A-33, the Naval Command and Ocean Surveillance Center, RDT&E Division,
San Diego, California. The exact location we be directed by the
Contracting Officer. PRE-BID SITE VISITATION Prospective quoters are
urged and expected to inspect the site where the work is to be
performed and to satisfy themselves as to all general and local
conditions that may affect the cost of performance to the extent such
information is reasonably obtainable. In no event will a failure to
inspect the site constitute grounds for withdrawal of quotation after
opening or for a claim after issuance of the purchase order. One site
visit has been scheduled for Tuesday, 16 December 1997 at 10:00 a.m.
local time. Quoters who wish to inspect the work on site may do so by

$25,000 and $100,000. -- Firm Fixed Price Contract. -- Contract
duration is approximately 120 calendar days. -- This proposed contract
will be unrestricted. -- The Standard Industrial Code is 1711 and the
annual size standard is $7.0 million. It is recommended the
subcontracting goals reflect a minimum goal of 5% for Small
Disadvantaged Business Subcontracting effort. Bidders should request in
writing stating RFQ number N68711-98-R-5015, with complete name,
address, area code and phone number and whether bidding as a
prime/subcontractor/supplier. -- Telephone requests will not be
accepted. -- The cost of Plans and Specification is $38.00 for each
set. The fee will be non-refundable. The Plan and Issue personnel will
only accept Visa/Master card, cashiers checks and money orders as
payment for plans and specs. -- Mail requests with cashiers checks or
money orders payable to DEFENSE PRINTING SERVICE to Southwest Division,
Naval Facilities Engineering Command (Plan Issue), 1220 Pacific

until your payment has been received by this office. -- Submit one (1)
payment per project. -- Solicitation packages are limited to two (2)
sets per prime and one (1) set per subcontractor/supplier. -- Bidders
responding under this advertisement will not be required to resubmit
request once formally advertised. -- Tentative issue date is on or
about 9 Dec 1997 with an opening date of approximately 30 days later
