NASA Langley Research Center plans to issue an IFB/Request for Offers for Services and Materials for Disabled Accessibility, Various Facilities, West Area of Langley Research Center, Hampton, VA. The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to: construction of an elevator addition to Building 1208, construction of exterior concrete access ramps at Building 1162, toilet modifications in Buildings 1162, 1247A and 1232, and entrance door modifications to Buildings 1162 and 1232. The Contractor shall furnish all plant, equipment, tools, materials, labor and services necessary for or incidental to a complete and finished job, including miscellaneous plumbing, structural, mechanical and elctrical modifications. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $250,000 and $500,000 and the effort shall be completed within 250 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1542 and $17 million, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB/RFO is on or about December 27, 1997 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about January 27, 1998. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB/RFO. Drawings will be available from the Bid Distribution Office (757) 864-2547.
