Q -- NATIONAL CENTERS OF EXELLENCE IN WOMEN'S HEALTH POC Allison C. Ford, Contract Specialist, 301-443-0101, Fax: (301) 443-3849 WEB: Program Support Center, http://cbd-submit@gpo.gov. E-MAIL: Program Support Center, aford@psc.dhhs.gov. The National Centers of Excellence in Women's Health Program, was established in FY 1996 by the Department of Health & Human Services, Office of Women's Health. Six (6) academic health centers around the Nation were awarded contracts to develop model health care services, multidisciplinary research, public and health care professional education on women's health, and to foster leadership opportunities for women health care professionals. The House and Senate Appropriations Committee have provided "report language" to continue the existing centers established in FY 1996. Therefore, it is the intent of the Department of Health & Human Services, Program Support Center to negotiate on a sole source basis with the six (6) vanguard National Centers of Excellence in Women's Health (CoE). The CoEs are as follows: (1) Allegheny University of the Health Sciences, Broad and Vine, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19102-1192, (2) Magee Women's Hospital, 300 Halket Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15213-3180,(3) The Ohio State University Research Foundation, 1960 Kenny Road, Columbus, Ohio 43210-10063, (4) Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania, Office of Research Administration, 133 South 36th Street, Suite 300 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19104-3246, (5) Yale University, 333 Cedar Street, P.O. Box 20847, New Haven, Connecticut 06520-8047 and (6) Regents of the University of California, c/o Office of Research Affairs, 3333 California Street #11, San Francisco, California 94143-0962. These CoEs have demonstrated unique capabilities in providing for the particular integrated research and clinical services proposed and are the original sources for the CoEs evaluation paradigm. The contract modifications will require the continued development of these complex, major model systems, and will extend the period of performance an additional 18 eighteen months, with two one (1) year options. A cost sharing arrangement will be established. The Government's share is 75% and the Contractor's share is 25%. NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE IS AVAILABLE. See Note 22. (0330)
