A -- It is the intent of this office to issue a solicitation to DC Comic of New York, NY under Other than Full and Open Competition for creation, production and print of story, artwork and editorial content of comics featuring the same names and characters that regularly appear in DC Comics Superman and Wonder Women comic magazines. The theme of the comics shall focus upon safety precautions in regard to landmines. A total of 550,000 32 page comic books (50,000 in English and 500,000 in Spanish), 200,000 posters (170,000 in Spanish and 30,000 in English), 18,000 key communicator guides (15,000 in Spanish and 3,000 in English) and one page of self-stickers bound into each Comic book will be purchased. The acquisition is being done on the basis of Other Than Full and Open Competition in as much as Superman and Wonder Woman are Registered Trademarks of DC Comic. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE TAKEN.
