Madril, Contracting Officer, (505)784-2888, madrilj@contract.cannon.af.mil This solicitation (Request for Proposal) is for "Improve Mercury Housing Phase III, Project No. CZQZ 97-0161, at Cannon AFB, New Mexico. Project includes the furnishing of all plant, labor, material, equipment, supplies, services, and transportation required to accomplish whole-house family residential unit renovations. The basic bid item is for 72 individual units with three options to increase the number of units to be renovated. The contract shall require construction in the following general areas: 1. Demolition of existing building systems to include asbestos and lead paint abatement. 2. Installation of new architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems. Magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Performance time is 525 calendar days. Proposer must provide references showing at least two successful projects of this size and magnitude being accomplished within the last five years. This solicitation will be competitive and is limited to eligible Small Business Administrationregistered 8(a) contractors from the Southwest Region and surrounding states (Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Colorado, Arizona, and Utah). No charge will be made for the solicitation documents(disks). RFP will be issued on or about 5 Jan 98. Site Visit is scheduled for 14 Jan 98. Proposals must be received on or about 5 Feb 98.
