The Naval Undersea Warfare Center,Division Newport anticipates acquiring, on a Firm Fixed Price Basis: An Autonomous Data Buoy Array System containing the following: Acoustic Line Array, Cable Sections with connectors and Horizontal Beamformer and Calibration Circuit in accordance with the performance specifications provided. The acoustic array system, which will be used for acoustic noise measurements, is suspended below a surface buoy. It will be subjected to static, dynamic, and hydrodynamic loading. The overall system will have an expected overall static-working load of not more than 500 lbs., dynamic loads of up to 1,000 lbs. due to the heaving of the surface buoy, and less than 200 lbs. of horizontal hydrodynamic drag due to a uniform 2 knot water current. Breaking strength of the system shall be a minimum of 5,000 lbs. All array sections will be interchangeable and capable of transmitting the signals of the sensors below it when assembled.
