(I) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for 5 each Transmitters and 5 each receivers. Additional information included in this notice: This announcement constitutes the only solicitation notice you will receive, proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation reference Number B-0103-8 is hereby issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-39. (iv) This acquisition is Unrestricted. (v) DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ITEMS TO BE ACQUIRED: (1) The transmitter/receiver must use CCIR 525 line pre/de-emphasis network. (2) Units are to operate on 12 volt direct current (DC) power. (3) Output power of 5 watts over the 4.4 to 5.0 Ghz range. (4) Standard NTSC 1 1 V P-P video input and output. (5) Case size and mounting hole pattern the same. (6) Input/output and control connectors the same. (vi) All items shall be delivered within 45 days after contract award. Deliveries shall be F.O.B. Destination, to Unmanned Ground Vehicles/Systems Joint Project Office, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama 35898-5400. Inspection/Acceptance shall be at Destination. (viii) The FAR provisions at 52.239-4700 Warranty -- Commercial Supply Items. (viii) FAR 52.239-4702, Requirement For Information Technology to be Year 2000 compliant is applicable. The government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible, responsive, technically acceptable, and lowest priced offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and will be most advantageous to the Government. (iv) Offers are due 15 Dec 1997, 2:00 p.m. local time.
