Administration is interested in receivingquotes for the services of a
qualified contractor to (A) Providea complete and new Notifier Net (UL
864) reporting system and allancillary alarm initiating and indicating
devices. The equipmentto be furnished is Notifier Net with 20 inch
monitor and mouse;Notfier AM2020 Basic Equipment package, BE-2020N;
Notifier CAB-C3and dress panels; Notifier Transponder basic equipment
package,BE-XP; Notifier CAB-C3 and dress panels; Manual Pull Stations
(2each) BGX-101L; Waterflow switches (2 each) with
electricallysupervised cover (in pipe); Tamper switches (2 each)
withelectrically supervised cover (on OS&Y valve); Ceiling
smokedetectors (2-ionization) CPX-551; Duct Smoke detectors (2
each)CPX-551 and DHX-501 (2 each); 12 AH 24 VDC batteries, PS12120
(4each); Battery boxes, BB-17 (2 each); (B) Furnish and
installsatellite fire alarm annunciators. The equipment to be
furnishedis Notifier CAB-C3 fire alarm cabinets (8 each) and dress
plates;Intelligent Network Annunciator (8 each); 24 VDC fire
alarmbatteries (16 each) PS 12120; MPS-24A Power Supply (8 each); MPM-2
Main Power Meter (8 each) (C) Provide Software/programmingupgrades to
the existing Notifier Net. (D) Furnish and installduct smoke detectors.
The equipment to be furnished is DuctDetector Units (34 each). (E)
Provide "as building" drawings andrevision of the existing narrative
test which accompanies eachdevice/modules associated with the existing
fire alarm system.All work shall be performed at the Social Security
AdministrationHeadquarters Buildings, Baltimore, Maryland. The
acquisitionwill be subject to Part 12 of the Federal Acquisition
Regulations(FAR) regarding the acquisition of Commercial Items, to FAR
Part13.6 regarding the Application of Special Simplified Proceduresto
Commercial Items and Services, and to the principles of
pastperformance evaluation as covered by FAR 15.605. The Governmentwill
evaluate quotes for the "best value" based on price,experience, and
past performance. The acquisition will also besubject to the conditions
of the Service Contract Act. Solicitation No. SSA-RFQ-98-3457 will be
available on or aboutDecember 12, 1997. The RFQ will be available for
download inelectronic form on SSA's Internet Home Past at
