Thompson, Contract Specialist at (912) 267-2303, FAX No. 912-267-3132 The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) is seeking sources for small arms ammunition that is environmentally safe and for use in close quarters engagement training (frangible/fragmenting). Ammunition must be manufactured of non-toxic substances and produce no hazardous environmental substances. Maximum use of renewable/recyclable materials is required. Buy back programs for used components are encouraged. We anticipate a variety of caliber and weight requirements with expected use to range from 5,000 to 5,000,000 rounds per year depending on caliber. Strict standards of Frangibility/Fragmentability, Functioning, Velocity, and Accuracy will have to be met. Ability to meet delivery schedules is also critical.
