42 -- NAVAL FLAK VESTS SOL N00024-98-R-4037 POC David J. Dawson, SEA 02423D, (703) 602-0200, ext. 414 The Naval Sea Systems Command has a requirement for Navy Flak Vests. The Navy Flak Vest is comprised of ballistic insert panels enclosed in a water-repellent treated outer shell. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. The requirements include five (5) First Article Test Units and 4,000 production Naval Flak Vests. The requirement also includes two options for up to an additional 9,500 Naval Flak Vests. The solicitation will be posted on the NAVSEA World Wide Web home page in January 1998 at the following address: http://sea02www.contracts.hq.navsea.navy.mil/. The subject solicitation package can be located by its solicitation number and downloaded. A limited number of hard copies will be available on a first come, first serve basis at the NAVSEA Industry Liaison Office, Room 5E40, 2531 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, VA., at the same time that the solicitation is posted on the World Wide Web.
