is requesting offers for the purchase of some vehicles on a sole source
basis. This procurement is a small business set aside. Vehicles will be
exported for use in Central and South America. The vehicles (at least
2 ea) must be 4X4 wheel drive pick up trucks (Ford F-150), with
extended cab 3 doors with third door access to rear cab, and rear seat,
with a long, 8 ft load bed, eight cylinder gasoline engine, with air
conditioning and manual or automatic transmission. Trucks must also
have p/s and p/b and rear step style bumper, radio AM/FM. Exterior
colors must be mixed dark colors not red. Tires must be all terrain
on/off road minimum rear. Also to be purchased is at least 1 ea. sport
utility vehicle (also on sole source basis for export) Geo Tracker
4X4, four doors with air condi- tioning and automatic or manual
transmission and 4 cylinder gasoline engine, dark color -- not red,
radio AM/FM, style enclosed with full hard top, 4 doors, p/s and p/b,
tires must be all terrain on/off road minimum rear. The Government will
make an award to the responsible Offeror(s) whose offer conforms to the
solicitation contained herein and is most advantageous to the
Government (i.e. that which respresents the best value to the
Government), cost or price and other factors including time period
required for delivery to the US Despatch Agency, Miami, FL, considered.
The combined relative merit of the technical evaluatin factors listed
above will be more significant than cost or price in the selection of
the contractor. While the cost or price factor has no numerical weight,
it is a criterion in the overall evaluation of proposals. Furthermore,
the proposed cost or price must be considered reasonable and must
reflect the proposed technical requirements for the vehicles. The
Government may award a contract to other than the lowest priced offer.
In the event that two or more offers are considered technically
equivalent, the evaluated cost or price and delivery time will be of
primary importance in determining the proposal most advantageous to the
Government. Delivery period must be no greater than 90 days. Total
prices quoted for vehicles by all vendors must be FOB price to US
Despatch Agency, Miami, FL. For answers to questions, contact Ruth
