Y -- FOLSOM DAM GATE AUTOMATION SOL 1425-98-SP-20-20026 DUE 022598 POC Kathy Kurtz (916) 978-5137 or Dion Steele (916) 978-5142 The principal components of the work include: Furnish and Install solenoid operated control valves; furnish and install gate position indicating systems for river outlet sliding gates; furnish and install an automatic lubrication system; furnish grease reservoir maintenance carts; furnish and install trunnion bearing covers; furnish and install jib cranes and platforms; furnish and install one motor control center; furnish and install two control boards for eight river outlet sliding gates; remove existing electrical gate control boards; furnish and install eight spillway radial gate motor control terminal boxes; furnish and install three crane disconnect switches; furnish and install eight river outlet slide gate push-button stations; furnish and install gate position indicating system for radial spillway gates; furnish and install lighting system; furnishing and install ground cable, electrical conduit and insulated conductors; and furnish drawings and data for complete electrical and mechanical systems. Award will be made pursuant to the "Small Busines Competitiveness Demonstration Program." Contractors do not have to be a small business to submit an offer under this program. The price range of the work is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Technical proposals must be submitted and will be evaluated in addition to prices.
