This tube provides RF energy to accelerate electrons. The Klystron Tube will be procured on a sole-source basis from Thomson Components and Tubes, Corp, Totowa, NJ in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The tube is proprietary to Thomson and this specific component is required to successfully operate the Government's Linear Accelerator. See Notes 22 and 26. This is anticipated to be a Firm Fixed price contract. The shipping terms will be F.O.B. Crane within 10 months after contract, with final inspection and acceptance at destination. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. (0339)
