N -- PRESS RELOCATION SOL NMA201-98-R-0009 DUE 013098 POC Brenda Dunn, Contract Specialist, 301-227-3230, Diane Alcott, Contracting Officer, 301-227-2158, FAX 301-2218 OR 301-227-5573 The National Imagery and Mapping Agency is procuring services for the relocation of a Series 800 Man-Roland printing press from Bethesda, MD to the new location near Arnold, MO. The contractor, using contractor furnished material handling equipment (MHE), shall disassemble and remove the press from its present location, load for transport, deliver to new location, install, align, and test the press at the new location. The contractor shall also relocate operational spare parts to the new location. Services shall include providing and installing an automated brush type wash-up system which shall include impression cylinder and blanket washing systems. The contractor shall provide and install new transfer/drive chains. The contractor shall clean, lubricate and store the press for up to 6 months. Services shall also include training and manuals for the new washer system. The contractor shall perform all necessary cleanup and testing to ensure proper working condition of the press. All work and equipment shall include warranties. Solicitation will be issued on or about 15 December 1997 (tentative). Proposal due date will be on or about 15 January 1998 (tentative). The applicable SIC Code is 7389 with a business size standard of $3.5M. Award will be made on a best value basis. All requests for solicitations must be in writing.
