The Navy requires engineering, technical, logistics, and program management services in support of various Air Defense Systems Projects at NSWC Crane. The Air Defense Systems consist of those systems capable of providing low and medium altitude air defense. These systems incorporate various missiles, rockets and small arms weapons as a means for providing defense against hostile military threats; they comprise technologies such as Infrared systems, LASER devices, fire control computers, acoustic sensors, radars, and communication systems. The contractor will be required to provide various development, installation and field support services, as well as related products such as trainers/simulators, to maintain and improve Air Defense System capabilities and operation. Accordingly, the successful offeror must demonstrate past performance which includes substantial experience and expertise in the technical areas these systems encompass in addition to detailed knowledge of the respective systems. This effort will be for a base period of two years with three additional option years. It is anticipated that a maximum of 90 workyears per year may be ordered by the Government under an Indefinite Delivery type contract.
