Burton, (703) 784-5822 ext 238 The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to modify contract M67854-94-C-3106 with MKI Systems, Inc, 6564 Loisdale Court, Suite 100, Springfield VA 22150, to increase the level of effort by 50,000 hours through September 30, 1998 (CLIN 0401), increase by 40,000 hours; CLIN 0405 increase by 10,000 hours. Also increase the level of effort by 44,500, for an extended period of performance, 1 October 1998 through 31 March 1999, (CLIN 0401, increase by 38,470 hours; CLIN 0405; increase by 6,030 hours the extension of the period of performance 1 October 1998 through 31 March 1999 and increase in level of effort is necessary to continue support while a recompetition is being conducted.. This modification is required to continue essential support services without interruption during a critcial period in the development, testing and procurement of numerous and diversified MARCORSYSCOM Combat Support and Logistics Equipment (CSLE) programs. MKI is the only source with the in-depth knowledge of CSLE programs and the expertise needed to continue work in progress on time sensitive programs, and avoid schedule delays and cost increases due to a new contractor's learning curve.
