A -- LOW COST SMALL PAYLOAD LAUNCHER CONFERENCE Low Cost Small Payload Launcher Conference NASA will convene a conference of all interested parties to discuss the requirements for and the processes required to achieve a low cost ($1.5M recurring cost) launch system for small (150kg) payloads. The Advanced Space Transportation Program Office will sponsor this conference at the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, AL, on January 13-14, 1998. Representatives from all facets of the space industry are encouraged to participate for the exchanging of ideas, concepts, and requirements. The planned agenda will allow two days of open and frank discussions by potential users and providers of low cost launch systems for small payloads. This will be an on-site computer-based interactive conference; therefore pre-registration is required in order to accommodate conference logistical requirements. Please indicate on the registration form if you would like the opportunity to formally present your interests, thoughts, and ideas on this program to government, science, and industry representatives.
