PUBLIC VIEWING OF HELIUM PROCESSING EQUIPMENT -- BLM-HELIUM OPERATIONS, AMARILLO, TEXAS Due to the closure of BLM-Helium Operations' Exell and Amarillo Helium Plants in April 1998, the Department of Interior will be disposing of its helium plant facilities and equipment. Major equipment includes helium liquifiers, helium purifiers, pressure swing adsorption unit, 600 kw electric generators, gas-fired stream boilers and associated prime movers, and other peripheral equipment. Equipment also includes machine shop items, laboratory equipment (mass spectrometer, gas chromatograph, and mobile equipment, such as forklifts). Equipment will be in full operation and will be available for viewing, 8:00AM to 3:00PM, Monday through Friday, January 1, 1998, through March 31, 1998. Production and Engineering staff will be available to answer questions and to provide assistance. Please contact Mr. Robert Jackson for an appointment to view equipment.
