Hewitt, 770-488-9507 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is TIRSE-98-Q-00023 and will be satisfied by entering into an unrestricted Commercial Item (CI) procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1799 with a Small business standard of $7.0 million. All provisions and clauses incorporated into this solicitation are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular No. 97-2. Quotations are due by 4:00 pm EST, January 2, 1998, at the following location: Internal Revenue Service; Southeastern procurement Operations Branch; Attn: Pat Hewitt, 2900 Woodcock Blvd, Ste 210; Chamblee, GA 30341. The Internal Revenue Service requires the purchase and installation of Bollards. The following are the specifications for the Bollards: Material is to be Schedule 40 steel pipe galvanized 3 inches diameter X 6 feet. Pipe is to be anchored 4 feet in concrete with 2 feet above ground. Hole size for the pipe is 9 inches diameter X 4 feet deep. Finished bollards are to be 12 inches diameter X 30 inches tall. Bollards are to be instaled 4.74 feet apart. The following are the dimensions of the areas where the bollards are to be installed: 103 linear feet (main lobby area); 20 linear feet (door 4); 107 linear feet (door 13). The Contractor shall submit a price quote which shows an itemized breakdown of all costs. CLAUSES AND PROVISIONS.
