http://heron.nrl.navy.mil/contracts/contract.htm. The Naval Research
Laboratory has a requirement for radiation effects experimental work at
NRL and other radiation facilities. The experiments will involve
designing, building, and using test circuits and equipment for device
testing in a radiation environment, using sophisticated experimental
test equipment (such as computerized semiconductor test systems, I-IV
curve tracers, and transient digitizers); performing experimental work
(including dosimetry measurements) at various ion accelerators and
radiation effects facilities; and then analyzing data. Modeling-type
calculations are performed in an attempt to understand and predict
experimental results. Also, use of the computer systems such as
simulation program with integrated circuit emphasis (SPICE), for
circuit simulation is involved. The disciplines involved in this work
include solid state and nuclear physics, general physics, nuclear,
electrical and radiation effects engineering, and technician
electronics. An indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ)
contract is anticipated for award with a minimum of 23,400 hours and a
maximum of 117,000 hours. The period of performance in which task
orders may be written is 60 months after date of award. Numbered Note
26 applies. NRL uses Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue RFPs and
amendments to RFPs. This solicitation and any amendments to it will be
available via the Internet at the URL address shown below. Paper
copies of the RFP will not be provided. (0339) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0003 19971210\A-0003.SOL)
