S -- CABLE TELEVISION SERVICES HOMESTEAD ARS FL DUE 011598 POC John Marshburn (305) 224-7474 This is a market survey to gather availability, capability and interest in providing cable television services (wired and/or wireless) within the cantonment area of Homestead Air Reserve Station, FL. Homestead ARS requires 320 units in 7 buildings. The cantonment area does not and will not include Family Housing or Residential Dormitories. Services required will include the following categories of programming (a) 24 Hours news and weather, (b) sports, (c) premium movies, (d) public broadcast services, (e) major network and/or super stations, (f) capacity to expand. The contractor shall use existing Government underground facilities for carrying cable. No on-site facilities will be provided. Interested firms with the ability to provide this type of service are encouraged to submit a WRITTEN statement. ORAL RESPONSES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. This survey is for planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. All submissions should be received not later than 15 January 1998.
