NASA/JSC plans to issue a Best Value Request for Offers for replacement of the transformers and switchgear at Building 13, Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas. This procurement is open to both large and small business concerns and is being solicited under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program using NASA's Midrange procedures. The Standard Industrial Classifiation Code for the procurement is 1731 and the small business size standard is $7.0 M average gross revenue for the last three fiscal years. The replacement for the busway shall be a "cable-bus" type system. PEAF panels shall be removed and replaced with a gate in front of the 12.47 kv oil switch at Building 13. The order of magnitude for the procurement is $500,000 to $1,000,000 and the work shall be completed within 270 calendar days after the written notice to proceed. The anticipated release date of the RFO is January 26, 1998 with an anticipated offer due date of February 26, 1998.
