T1.3-IAW Fed Spec GGG-C-111C, dtd 2/12/87; T2.1-Paragraph 3.9, after
"determined", delete ", & the part number"; T2.2-Paragraph 3.10.5.1,
after last sentence add: "When the micrometer is set exactly on whole
mil readings, both zero graduations on the vernier scale shall coincide
with the graduation lines on the thimble."; Paragraph 4.3.8.1, after
last sentence add; "At each reading, an additional check shall be made
for the co-allignment of both zeros on the vernier scale with the
whole mil graduation lines on the thimble IAW the requirements of
paragraph 3.10.5.1."; T2.3-Paragraph 3.3.4, second sentence, delete
"C-60 to C-65" and substitute "C-58 to C-65". Paragraph 3.3.8, fourth
sentence, after "machine cut" add ", laser marked"; T2.4-Details of
workmanship shall be IAW the best commercial standards and practices.
Paints, coatings, platings & finishes shall be smooth, dry, adherent,
continuous & not stained or discolored. Fasteners shall be firmly
secured & show no evidence of deformation, cross threading or hazardous
burrs. Adhesives & lubricants adequate for their intended purpose shall
be properly & neatly applied. Adhesives shall be adequately cured.
Wires & cables shall be neatly dressed & shall not be frayed or in
contact with sharp edges. Wires & cables insulation shall show no
evidence of burns, abrading or pinch marks. There shall be no
interference, binding or galling of parts. External & bearing surfaces
shall be free of tool & gouge marks, nicks or other surface
imperfections. The item shall be clean & free of corrosion & debris
(e.g. chips, shavings, slivers) or other foreign material. The item
shall be free from manufacturing workmanship defects (e.g. loose,
missing binding or misaligned parts, sharp or rough external edges,
corners or surfaces) & material workmanship defects (e.g. pits, rips,
fins, burrs, tears, nodules, cracks, blisters) which may adversely
impact the item's serviceability, durability, safety or appearance;
T3.1-Each item (including all items within a set or kit) shall be
marked with the manufacturer's name or identifying symbol & the state
or country of manufacture unless otherwise specified. All marking shall
be engraved, etched, molded, indented or put on with permanent ink in
such a manner that it remains clearly legible throughout the life of
the item; T4.1-One item shall be preserved & packaged in a unit package
designed to protect the item against damage during shipment, handling
& storage; T4.2 Plastic in packaging, packing & associated marking
materials are prohibited. The definition of plastic shall be as defined
in ASTM D883-93; T5.1-The unit packages shall be packed in a close
fitting fiberboard box, grade 200 min. The complete pack shall be in
compliance with the Uniform Freight Classification & the National Motor
Freight Classification; T6.1-All unit, intermediate, exterior shipping
containers and palletized or unitized loads shall be marked for
delivery to civilian activities IAW FED-STD-123F or for delivery to
military activities IAW MIL-STD-129M, as applicable!! ALL OTHER TERMS
