H -- BASIC ORDERING AGREEMENT TO TEST AND INSPECT THE ALLISON 501-K17 GAS TURBINE ENGINE SOL N00024-98-G-4053 POC 02424M, Melanie Harvey, 703-602-0202 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue orders on multiple occasions over the period of Basic Ordering Agreement N00024-98-G-4053 with National Airmotive Corporation (NAC), 7200 Lockheed Street, Oakland, CA 94621-4504. Orders will be issued to test and inspect the 501-K17 Gas Turbine Engines. Orders will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Allison Engine Co. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the 501-K17 Gas Turbine Engines; NAC is the only facility certified by Allison for repair capability. Allison and NAC are the only two companies which have personnel experienced in the repair of 501-K17 engines, access to all necessary proprietary data, and are able to access the factory for parts support. They are the only sources that possesses the necessary technical data, expertise, equipment and the necessary resources to perform the work described herein, and no other supplies or services will satisfy the Navy's requirement.
