A non-competitive negotiation is proposed with Communications and Power Industries (CPI), Georgetown, Ontario, Canada IAW FAR 6.302-1(b)(2). CPI is the only known source with the capabilities to repair and/or overhaul these tubes to a fully operational condition within the required delivery schedule. Procedures to qualify another source would take at least one (1) year. No other sources have expressed an interest in the repair and/or overhaul of the Klystron Tubes. All responsible sources, however, may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. See Notes: 22 and 26.
