The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is seeking sources to provide Systems Technical Support (STS) Services to support repair, manufacture, maintenance and storage of spare/repair parts for the Mulitple Delivery Mine System (VOLCANO). The STS efforts include in-house and field services support for repair works beyond the capabilities of an individual organizational or direct support maintenance units; these efforts include support to the VOLCANO system which consists of the M139 Mine Dispenser System, the 5-Ton Mounting Kit, the M548A1 Mounting Kit and the Air System Mounting Kit. The offeror must possess specialized facilities, equipment and tooling for the manufacture and qualify replacement parts which utilize new subcomponents. It should be noted that certain subcomponents of the VOLCANO system have been determined to have obsolete and unobtainable parts; the Dispenser Control Unit (DCU) has one major subcomponent that has been determined to be obsolete and this is the Motorola 6802 microprocessor. The offeror shall have the experience, equipment and field support to repair the VOLCANO system and also be available to perform VOLCANO troubleshooting, diagnostic and repair activities either at the contractor's facility or at various field site location within the US or overseas; the offeror shall be required to provide repair work with an average turn over time of 14 days. The offeror shall be required to manufacture and maintain spare parts and stock these same parts for a period of time of up to three (3) years in accordance with the applicable documents.
