No proposals or capability statements are sought or will be considered for this procurement. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to negotiate a noncompetitive contract with Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) for the placement of uranium recovery work at the Center for Nuclear Waste Regulatory Analyses (CNWRA), a division of SwRI and the NRC's Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC). The work will involve the development of review guidance and assistance in reducing the casework backlog for reclamation and groundwater issues, and to participate in inspections of Title II facilities. The proposed period of performance is one year with one one-year option. This action is being negotiated on a noncompetitive basis with SwRI to maintain essential capabilities at the CNWRA (see FAR 6.302-3(b)(2)).
