(813)828-3815x346 The work in this procurement shall consist of repairs
to Building 49 which is primarily a shipping and receiving warehouse.
The approximately 260 foot by 570 foot building is made up of several
different structural systems. Roof heights across the structure vary
from 15 feet to 35 feet. The existing roofing system is built-up
roofing and modified bitumen with minimal slope. Replace the roof oat
Building 49 with approximately 155,000 square feet of new structural
standing seam metal roofing supported by a retrofit steel framing
system constructed over the existing roof. The new roofing system shall
have varying slopes from 1/2 inch to 1 inch per foot and shall include
all components and appurtenances required to ensure a weather tight
enclosure. New gutters, downspouts, facias, sofits, siding, louvers and
associated trim and closure profiles as necessary to complete the roof.
Replace 266 lineal feet of 2 foot, 9 inchhigh steel frame fixed ribbon
windows with aluminum louvers and aluminum frame fixed windows glazed
with 1/4 inch tempered, laminated tinted glass. Work is located
approximately 25 feet above the warehouse floor. Remove and relocate
three roof top HVAC units. Modify roof mounted package units to pad
mounted units on grade. Provide new exterior and interior duct work and
tie into existing. Provide new wall exhaust fans and louvers to replace
existing roof mounted units. Cap openings in roof deck with galvanized
steel covers. Remove cement asbestos flue and roof expansion tank from
existing boiler. Cap off existing roof opening. Extend existing
approximately nine inch diameter through wall and rotate ninety degree
elbow to vent away from building face. Extend existing plumbing stacks
through new roof. Remove existing electrical circuits from roof mounted
mechanical equipment. Install new circuit, wire and motor starter for
new equipment. The magnitude of this project is estimated between
$1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The solicitation will be issued on or about
24 December 1997. Proposal closing date will be on or about 23 January
1998. Evaluation factors for award will be price, proposed material
