Realignment. Vessel homeport is St. Louis, MO. The place of Performance
is restricted to the Western Rivers of the United States. The "Western
Rivers" means the navigable portions of Mississippi River and its
tributaries above mile 0 of the Mississippi River include only the
waterways within the areas of jurisdiction of Coast Guard Aids to
Navigation Facilities as described in light List Volume V (COMDTINST
M16502.5), and the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway to the mouth of the
Mobile River. This includes protected portions of the Intra Coastal
Waterway connected to the "Western Rivers," but specifically excludes
unprotected or open waters such as Mobile Bay, Lake Borne, or the Gulf
of Mexico. Vessel availability schedule is 30 MAR 98 for 54 calendar
days. The performance period 30 MAR 98 to 22 MAY 98 for the Tender and
the Barge. Vessel is a 115 FOOT Tender with a Breadth extreme of 30
Feet and a 136 FOOT Barge with a Breadth extreme of 32 Feet. All
referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street,
Suite 500, Norfolk, VA. There will be a non-refundable charge of
$100.00 in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to
the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. Orders must be placed
within ten (10) days of solicitation issuance. All business, large and
small, are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements.
Plans and specifications will be issued on or after 29 Dec 97 from our

Atlantic, 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. This
notice is for information purposes for minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged Small and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The
Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged
Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are
available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime
