Roberts (509) 247-4864 The work includes, but is not limited to, the following airfield work at Fairchild AFB, WA: Removal of rubber deposits of all types(approximately 270,000 SF) from specified areas of runway 05/23. Removal of old paint(approximately 500 SF) and layout work for replacing markings. Blackout paint(approximately 500 SF) for airfield lines on asphaltic surfaces. Application of traffic paint and reflective media to airfield pavement surfaces(approximately 310,000 SF). Application of non-reflective traffic paint to airfield pavement surfaces (approximately 255,700 SF). Protection of traffic paint until dry and hardened sufficiently to withstand traffic. The performance period for this project is 50 calendar days, 20 calendar days for material submittals and gathering ; 30 calendar days to occupy the work site and physically accomplish the work. A separate Notice to Proceed (NTP) will be issued for each phase. The primary work dates for the work on the runway are 21-25 May 98, the alternate dates for the work onthe runway are 28 May to 01 Jun 98. Rubber and paint removal shall be accomplished during the period beginning Thursday, 21 May 98 at 10:30 P.M. and ending on Monday, 25 May 98 at 6:00 A.M. The SIC Code is 1611. Estimated Construction cost is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 and shall be bid by bid schedule to obtain unit prices for estimated quantities. There are no Government Furnished Materials for this project. The work is located in a controlled area. All interested parties which are bonded, insured and capable of performing this work are encouraged to inquire about this solicitation.
