The work includes demolition and removal of existing Coast Guard transmitters and associated equipment; removal and salvage of the existingemergency generator and switchgear for turnover to the Navy; a new HVAC system; secondary electrical system including new low energy flourescent lighting; a double roll-up door with weather vestibule in transmitter room wall; removal of existing coax cables and installation of new GFE 5-inch coax cable from transmitter building to helix house; modifications to existing helix house and transmitter building and incidental related work. The estimated cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Contract duration is approximately 285 calendar days -- This project is non-restricted.
