(205)955-9197 Contractor shall be responsible for all labor,
facilities, tools, test equipment and material needed to perform this
task. The contractor will disassemble, complete an analysis to
determine cost of overhauling engine to commercial specification, and
reassemble engines. The contractor will give a separate cost estimate
for the following items based on commercial specifications: 1)
T53-L-13B, 2) T53-L-703, 3) Carrier and Gear Assembly, 4) Governor, and
5) Fuel Control. The contractor shall present this cost estimate in
writing to include the following: 1) Material cost, 2) Labor hours
cost, and 3) Repair cycle time. The contractor shall furnish a report
stating difference between commercial engine overhaul versus military
specifications. Request this information be furnished no later than 60
days from receipt of the engines. The government will furnish five (5)
engines as GFM. The contractor will retain these engines at their own
cost and at a later date the Government will issue a maintenance and
overhaul contract to repair the engines and ship to a designated point.
