R -- PRODUCTION SUPPORT SERVICES FOR THE CCS MK2 POC Heather Jackson, Contracts Specialist, SEA 02621H, phone 703-602-7703, x655 The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a modification to contract N00024-96-C-6215 to Raytheon Electronic Systems, 1847 W. Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871 to expand the scope of the current contract to include engineering services in support of all variants of the CCS MK2 system. Currently, the contract provides for engineering services in support of the development and production efforts for the CCS MK2 Program D0 Block 1C upgrade. The Navy intends to issue this modification to Raytheon Electronic Systems on a sole source basis. Raytheon, as the developer and sole producer of the basic CCS MK 2 Program D0 and Program D0 Block 1A/B, is uniquely qualified to perform this effort since Raytheon possesses the requisite knowledge and capability to complete this work in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
