The Western Regional Contracting Office intends to request quotes from contractors who are able to demonstrate the expertise and ability to provide elevator maintenance services for Four (4) Traction units, Montgomery Kone Model #CT-82049-52 (8 stops), and One (1) Hydraulic unit, Montgomery Kone Model #CP-82053 (2 stops) . Services are to be provided at the Federal Detention Center, 2425 South 200th Street, SeaTac, Washington 98109-3588. The Bureau of Prisons contemplates the award of one contract to the company evaluated as being the best value to the Government. A contract with one base year and four option periods is anticipated. Performance periods will be: Base Year: Date of Award through 12 months; Option Period 1: 13 months from award through 24 months; Option Period 2: 25 months from award through 36 months; Option Period 3: 37 months from award through 48 months; Option Period 4: 49 months from award through 60 monthsor contract completion. Issuance of a solicitation package is tentatively scheduled for January 16, 1997, with an approximate opening date of February 16, 1997. All offerors are advised that this contract action is subject to wage rates as established by the Department of Labor (DOL), i.e., all service contract employees must be paid at or above the DOL established rate for their job type. The most current determination issued by the DOL will be incorporated into the solicitation upon receipt. Award will not be made until all offerors have had the opportunity to review and respond to the DOL determination, as appropriate.
