Based on the availablity of Fiscal Year 1998 funding, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to renovate existing buidling space into occupyable office space in the Isabel II Building, located at Isabel, Leon and Mayor Street, in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Construction renovation shall include, but is not limited to, architectural, mechanical, and electrical work to renovate office space on the third and fourth levels of the Isabel II Office Building, and provide an emergency generator on the adjacent parking garage upper level. Estimated cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Detailed requirements and specifications are included in the Solicitation. Tentative release date for the Solicitation is January 5, 1998. The solicitation shall be available by mail request only at a cost of $200 per set, with a limit of two (2) sets per requesting firm. Firms wishing to reserve a copy at this time may do so by remitting its deposit and letter of interest to: Federal Bureau of Investigation, Attn: Mr. Jan H. Brown, Room 6875, J. edgar Hoover FBI Building, 935 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC 20535. All deposits are refundable upon return of the complete Solicitation to the FBI within 15 calendar days following Bid Opening. The Solicitation shall be available on a first-come-first-serve basis until supply is exhausted. Performance Bond is required. Payment Bond is required, if subcontractors are employed. Insurance is required. Access to the job site shall be limited to U.S. Citizens ONLY. The standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this project is 1542 (Small Business size standard -- $17.0 million).
