Dobbins, Contract Specialist, (508) 233-6250 (Site Code DAAN02) The US Army Soldier Systems Command (SSCOM), Natick Research, Development, and Engineering Center, intends to acquire the following item from Hexcel Corporation, 5794 West Las Positas Boulevard, Pleasanton, CA 94588, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 entitled, "Only One Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." Hexcel Corporation is currently the only known manufacturer of Structural Resin Impregnated Kraft Paper Honeycomb Core Material of 4.0 and 2.5 lbs/cu.ft. nominal densities that meet or exceed the requirements set forth for Type IV and Type V core per ASTM E1091, entitled "Standard Specification for Nonmetallic Honeycomb Core for Use in Shelter Panels."
