hospital moving and relocation services. SIC is 4212. Small Business
size standard is $18.5 million annual average gross revenue for the
last three fiscal years. This solicitation is 100% Small Business
set-aside. Contract award shall be made to the responsive, responsible
offeror whose proposal offers the best value to the Government based
on an integrated assessment of each proposal in terms of price,
experience, and past performance. Request for Proposal (RFP)
F65501-98-R0045 will be issued o/a 02 Feb 98. A pre-bid site visit will
be held o/a 13 Feb 98. The contractor shall furnish all personnel,
equipment,tools, rolling stock, shoring materials, packing supplies,
tarps, communications equipment, permits, services, and supervision
necessary to move/relocate medical equipment, furnishings and contents
from the 3rd Medical Center, an 8 story 270,000 sq ft facility located
approximately 700 ft from the new Composite Medical Facility (CMF),
contents from 3 peripheral buildings totaling an additional 32,000 sq
ft located within three miles from the new CMF, and additional assets
stored in a 42,000 sq ft warehouse on Fort Richardson Army Base located
approximately 6 miles from the new CMF. Assets to be moved/relocated
include new medical and nonmedical equipment, new interior furnishings:
i.e. seating, planters, waiting room furniture, lockers, and existing
medical and non medical equipment, supplies, records, instruments, and
computers. The new CMF is a 3 story building with operational floor
space exceeding 433,000 sq ft. The Government will take ownership of
the new CMF in the summer of 1998. Subsequently, performance under this
contract will be required to execute a safe, orderly, timely, efficient
relocation into the new CMF while the old medical center is still
operational. The contractor shall perform ALL services required to move
property from the present locations, transport it to the designated
place(s) within the new location(s), and place it pursuant to
Government instructions. Services shall include padding, packing,
and/or crating required for the safe transportation of the property at
its present locations, transportation of the property to the new
location(s); unpacking and/o runcrating as required; placement of the
property in the new location(s); reassembly as directed; removal of
padding, packing and crating materials from the premises, and any other
services normally included in a complete hospital moving service.
Moving/relocation services shall be performed in three phases over a
120 calendar day period. Only written requests for solicitation
