(The Foundation, CSUMB is accepting bids for the following project: Renovation of the Pomeroy Center, IFB #9068. (The work on this contract comprises the general construction of approximate 600 sq. foot, single story, concrete and masonry frame addition to an existing approximate 31,770 square ft., single story, concrete, masonry and steel structure, and includes interior and exterior alterations, a new tensioned membrane roof, complete with minor demolition, site work, plumbing and mechanical and electrical work with an estimated construction cost of $1,700,000 -- $1,900,000. Construction is scheduled for 32 weeks from March 9, 1998 through October 16, 1998.) A mandatory pre-bid conference and walk through is scheduled for January 8, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. (Pacific Time). Bidders should allow a minimum of one hour and attendance shall be at their sole expense. To reserve a copy of IFB #9068, Development Center, San Jose, CA; M.C.B.I.D.; and CSUMB. Each bidder offering a proposal must comply with the bidding provisions of the Contract General Conditions. The bidder must also comply with the State's prevailing CSUMB requires the successful bidder to achieve a minimum goal of 3% DVBE participation in contracting projects as established in the bidding documents.
