28 -- F100-PW-229 TURBOFAN ENGINE SOL n/a POC Cynthia D. Booker-Neilson, Contracting Officer/Jim Ehret, Buyer (937) 255-2619 Aeronautical Systems Center, Propulsion Development System Office (ASC/LP), plans to place an order for ten (10) F100-PW-229 Turbofan Engines against the existing Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract awarded to Pratt & Whitney on 28 JAN 94. This Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract covers users' requirements of fighter system platforms for both domestic and Foreign Military Sales. Orders were planned in the basic contract. The current acquisition encompasses combat aircraft production engines, engineering assistance to production and service (EAPS), data, warranty, and associated items including inspection and testing, and engine software, as specified by the contract. The required engines are fully developed, qualified and have demonstrated the capability to support the missions of users for DOD fighter aircraft currently utilizing the F100-PW-229 engine. The contractor is authorized to receive and store classified material up to and including Secret classification. The contractor receiving this award is classified as a large business.
