Fannin, Contract Specialist (202)685-1276 The Fleet and Industrial
Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment Washington, has a requirement to
procure research support services for the Office of Naval
Research(ONI-21)located in Washington,D.C. The government anticipates
a cost plus fixed fee contract set-aside for small business. The
awardee shall have a Top Secret security clearance with SCI as well as
all subcontractors. Services include the analysis and support of
counter-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and counterdrug
operations, as well as analysis of illegal alien smuggling, illegal
high seas driftnet fishing and violence at sea. Deliverables will
include: 1)revision of the Drug Smugglers Handbook; 2)baseline fishing
studies on commercial maritime industries using open source and
classified data; 3)ICC/IMB access for in depth reporting on piracy;
4)remote sensing utility studies of commercial imagery systems for use
by ONI and 5)cargo tracking studies on EDI systems in Hong Kong and/or
Kaohsiung with comparison to systems in use at Rotterdam and Singapore.
The period of performance is for a base year and four one year options
with an option to extend services for an additional six months. All
responsible sources are encouraged to submit an offer. The deadline for
