Purpose of contract is to provide database and computer programming support for the Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC). Contractor will 1) identify and obtain ichthyoplankton and environmental data to use in project, 2) create a metadatabase for ichythyoplankton and environmental data, 3) collaborate with FOCI programmers to write programs to access, analyze, and summarize data, 4) assist FOCI researchers to analyze data, and 5) check data for completeness and accuracy. Work does involve database/programming support but is primarily scientific in nature. NOAA requires individual with strong scientific background, preferably with a degree in fisheries or closely-related field. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. (0349)
