The National Park Service, Denver Service Center, 12795 West Alameda Parkway, Denver, Colorado, 80225, is seeking a firm to provide Architect/Engineer (A/E) services for preliminary design for the park entrance at Arches National Park. Due to the expected growth of Park visitation, a planning program for the visitor facilities necessitates review and redesign. Work will include, but is not limited to conducting a design charette for the entire park entrance complex, developmental concept plan, evaluation of existing structures for adaptive reuse/expansion/rehabilitation and sketches of final plan elements. The selected firm should have a strong background in park planning. Required disciplines include landscape architecture, structural architecture and civil engineering. The selected firm shall provide Title I Services only (schematic and design development). Please note that the below criteria shall be used by the National Park Service in lieu of the criteria listed under Note 24. The following criteria in descending of importance shall be used in the evaluation of the prospective firms. 1. Demonstrated professional experiences and technical competence of the firm, including its sub-consultants, with projects of types described in the preceding. 2. Demonstrated professional experience in park planning and experience in conducing design charetts. 3. Demonstration of a sustainable design ethic, philosophy and approach and the ability of the firm to produce building and site design solutions that show an awareness and sensitivity to local natural and cultural resources and the global environment. 4. Ability to facilitate, develop consensus and coordinate planning and design requirements with multiple stakeholders. This purchase order will not exceed $100,000 and is limited to small business firms. Firms that meet the requirements described in this announcement are invited to submit a Letter of Interest and completed Standard Forms 254 for each firm and a Team Standard Form 255 in an original only. Responses must be received before 5:00 p.m., 30 calendar days from the date of this publication (first work day following a weekend or holiday) in order to be considered for selection.
