Reno, 530 246-5080 USDA, Shasta-Trinity National Forest is issuing a negotiated contract to cnduct murrelet surveys at 176 random sites on the Happy Camp and Ukonom Ranger Districts of the Klamath National Forest, the Orleans and Lower Trinity Ranger Districts of the Six Rivers National Forest and the Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation, Siskiyou, Trinity and Humboldt Counties, California. The project will be for an estimated 704 murrelet surveys as well as collection of vegetation data and conducting land bird point counts in 1998 with a one year renewable option. Technical proposals will include (1) organization/management, (2) record of past performance and (3) production capability and capacity. All work will be conducted between April 15 and August 5.
