The Bi-State Development Agency (Agency) is soliciting bids Facilities Line Section 3 -Memorial Hospital to Belleville Area College. The Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal is 25%. DBE firms are invited to propose directly or with another firm. The facilities mainline work is comprised of all construction for the preparation of the mainline trackbed up to and including the subballast. The mainline work is comprised of the following: Demolition and site clearing (excluding building demo), earthwork (excavation, embankments, hauling), construction of mainline structures (bridges, major drainage culverts, retaining walls, and cantenary pole foundations), construction of roadways including future proposed at-grade crossing, relocation of existing utilities (storm sewer, sanitary sewers, water lines), construction of new utilities (conduits, duct banks), construction of subballast cap, and construction of erosion control (seeding, sodding, select ground cover). The facilities work for the preparation of the passenger station platforms and the park-and-ride lot excluding most finishes work. The passenger stations/park-and-rides work is comprised of the following: Demolition and site clearing (excluding building demo), earthwork (excavation, rough grading, finish grading), construction of structures station platforms, station canopies, canopy foundations, light pole foundations), construction of asphalt roadways and parking lots, construction of concrete roadways including concrete curb and gutter, construction of concrete flatwork (sidewalk, plaza paving, stairs, handicap ramps), relocation of existing utilities (storm sewers, sanitary sewers, water lines), construction of new utilities (water lines, storm sewers, sanitary sewers, conduits, irrigation), and construction of erosion control (seeding, sodding, select ground cover). As an option to the work described above, the construction of a bicycle trail may also be included. The trail is generally located within the MetroLink right-of-wayapproximately IL Route 159 in Belleville to the Belleville Area College. The bicycle trail work is comprised of the following: Clearing and grubbing, earthwork, grading miscelleanous drainage structures and retaining walls, and prefabricated bridge strucutures.
