MARKET SURVEY-USACECOM anticipates a requirement over the next 24 months for the following lithium manganese dioxide batteries; BA-5347, BA-5368, BA-5374. No alternative chemistries will be considered. The estimated minimum/maximum quantities are as follows: BA-5347 (3,000/30,000), BA-5368 (100,000/300,000), BA-5374 (120,000/360,000). The projected solicitation date for this contract is 2QFY98 with deliveries to commence during 1QFY99. Bid samples for all three batteries will be required as part of the RFP. Offerors will be given the option to bid a specific battery independently or all three as a group. Potential offerors must be able to successfully demonstrate the ability to design, build and deliver each battery in accordance with MIL-PRF-49471/15 in order to be eligible for award. The performance requirements for the BA-5347 in MIL-PRF- 49471/15 (ER) are identical to those in MIL-PRF- 49471/5 (ER).
