The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract with Allison Engine Company, Indianapolis, IN 46206 for technical and engineering services for the T56-A-427 engine associated with the E-2C/T aircraft of the US Navy and FMS Customers. Allison Engine Company is the designer, developer and sole manufactuer of the T56-A-427 and is, therefore, the only source that possesses the resources necessary to provide services within the timeframe required. Further, the complete, accurate and fully validated data package for the T56-A-427 engine is currently available only to Allison Engine Company.
