EPA plans to negotiate on a sole source basis with Acurex Environmental Corporation for the development of a cost estimate to move all non-sensitive and pilot installations from its current location to the EPA permanent facility which is currently under construction and expected to be completed in July 2001. Excluded is sensitive (very fragile) equipment and commercial systems. The contractor shall provide a complete catalog of equipment and installations, ordered by its location and the branch which operates it. The complete catalog shall include the estimated cost for each piece of equipment/installation and the total estimated cost of moving all equipment/installations identified. The contractor shall complete the project by 02/27/98. EPA estimates indicate that Acurex is uniquely qualified to provide this service most efficiently given their on-site status, familiarity with the facility, knowledge of research schedules, and prior experience dismantling and reinstalling the equipment.However, any firm believing itself capable of meeting these requirements may submit technical documentation to establish the potential of complying with the statement of work. Only those firms presenting such documentation will be considered. Otherwise, EPA will proceed to negotiate with Acurex Environmental. See Note 22. (0352)
