of contact, Bea Lachler, AFCA.GCOR@scott.af.mil. This announcement
constitutes a Request for Information (RFI) synopsis and market
research. Information obtained as a result of this synopsis is for
planning purposes only. It does not constitute an invitation for sealed
bid or request for proposal (RFP), nor is to be construed as a
commitment by the Government. The Government is currently conducting a
market survey and analysis of government-off-the-shelf and
commercial-off-the-shelf products that can meet the requirements for an
Electronic Records Management System (ERMS). This system will be an
information system supporting the management of electronic records for
the USAF. The ERMS should be capable of supporting all areas of the
USAF worldwide. The EMRS must meet all of the mandatory requirements
outlined in the recently finalized version of DoD 5015.2-STD, Design
Criteria Standard for Electronic Records Management Software
Application. This Standard sets forth mandatory baseline functional
requirements for Records Management Application (RMA) software used by
DoD Components in the implementation of their records management
programs; defines required system interfaces and search criteria to be
supported in the RMAs; and describes the minimum records management
requirements that must be met, based on current National Archives and
Records Administration (NARA) regulations. This standard is available
for the Defense Information Systems Agency's Joint Interoperability
Test Command's (JITC) Records Management World Wide Wed page
"http://jitc-emh.army.mil/recmgt/home3.htm". JITC is responsible for
conducting the certification tests and evaluation for all Records
Management applications for compliance with the Standard. In your
response to this Request for Information, please indicate if your
company has made an application to have your product tested by JITC for
conformance with the Standard. Please provide a brief summary of any
storage or repository for Electronic Records capabilities that the
system can accommodate, or the vendor would be willing to provide. Any
storage or repository should include on-line and off-line capabilities
at a facility of the vendors choice. Businesses responding to the
market research and are currently offering, or can make available to
the Air Force, same or similar services, are requested to provide what
they have available within 20 days after posting date of this notice.
Potential vendors may express interest, make comments and any
questions via electronic mail or fax comments or questions to the Air
Force Communications Agency, Records Service Branch, at
AFCA.GCOR@scott.af.mil, FAX (618) 256-8682. All comments and questions
must be in writing and must identify the company, source, contact
person and telephone and FAX number. Air Force Communications Agency,
