DTCG80-98-P-3FA764 on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR
6.302-1 with Sperry Marine to repair the MK-29 Gyro Platform Assembly
for USCG RTC Yorktown. This work is to be completed and shipped by 13
February 1998. The standard industrial classification code is 3731 and
the size standard is 1000. Interested persons may identify their
interest and capability to respond to the request or submit a quote.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However
all quotes received after the date of publication of this synopsis
will be considered by the government. A determination by the government
not to compete with the proposed contract upon responses to this notice
is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received
will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining
whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No telephone requests
will be accepted. Anticipated award date is on or about 26 December
1997. The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This Notice is for information
purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business
Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and
Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has a program to assist
minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related
contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further
