A Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued via the Internet on or about 7 Jan 98 (see web site below **Please note that this address is different from the previously used web site**) for the Operations, Maintenance, and Support (OM&S) services required for the Counterdrug Surveillance and Control System (CSCS) effort. The mission of the CSCS is to provide air surveillance in support of United States and Allied Nations counterdrug efforts throughout USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility and to support air sovereignty, search and rescue, and regional cooperation missions. The CSCS will include radar sites in Colombia (San Andres, Riohacha, Leticia, Marandua, and San Jose del Guavaire), in Peru (Iquitos), and in Venezuela (Monte Cano and El Copey). Additional services will be required at the CaribROC (Key West, FL), at the JAOC (Howard AFB, Panama), at Host Nation Command Centers (Bogota, Colombia, and Caracas, Venezuela). A Program Management Office, Central Control Point (CCP), and Control Center are required to be within the continental United States for this effort.
